The schools subcommittee is looking for assistance to establish contacts in schools in SEQLD with a view to potentially visiting more schools and conveying our message of hope and recovery.  We’ve had limited success in recent years and are seeking the help of our community.  If you know someone in a school who is willing to have a no obligation chat on education AA can offer in schools pls feel free to drop us a line at AA-schools@outlook.com.  Pls check with the individual first they are willing to have a discussion and be clear its nothing more than a discussion, they are under no obligation.  What will happen is the schools committee will contact them to discuss what we can offer, what the format of a school visit looks like and answer any questions they may have.  It would then be completely up the individual and school of any engagement they would or wouldn’t like to undertake.

Hello fellowship We are looking for helpline person for Wednesday’s 2pm to 6pm in the CSO Brisbane office 450 Ipswich Road, Annerley.

Seeking someone to join the CSO Brisbane Steering Committee as the Area Liaison.

Nominations taken at the CSO Reps meeting on  Sunday 22 November 2026

Must be a CSO Rep or Alternate CSO Rep for your group.

2 years minimum sobriety. 2 year rotation term.

We are looking for a female to cover this helpline position. (The male position has been filled).

You would be responding to people who are involved when the police are called out to an incident involving drinking. The person would have given authority to have AA contact them.

You must be able to make contact them within 24 hours, and then finalize the details on police link website. Training will be provided.

You can do this role from home.  You must have a computer skills to use to the police link website.

This is a two year rotation term. 12 months minimum sobriety.

CSO Schools / Sub Committee Volunteers Required

We are looking for people to join the schools subcommittee and help steer our engagement and approach and / or volunteer to speak at schools – training provided, you only need to bring your experience and willingness to serve.

 CSO Enews Update

Dear Fellowship,

The CSO Enews will now be published monthly.

This decision was made by the Steering Committee in light of the ongoing cost and workload involved in producing it weekly.

From now on, the CSO Enews will be sent on the second Thursday of each month.

• Events, Meeting changes and Service opportunities will continue to be published on the website as they are received: csobrisbane.org
• We are seeking another provider, and will keep you updated with the progress.

1. 1. Printing person – to set up printing of the magazine in the CSO Brisbane Office in Annerley.  Over 2 days at the end of each month. It usually takes about 4 hours each day.

1. Reporter – collector of AA recovery stories. You can be based anywhere in Queensland
