CSO in danger of closing down

As you may have heard by now, the CSO is in imminent danger of shutting down within the next 3-9 months, due to ever-decreasing donations from groups.

The CSO provides many vital services, including;

  • provision of literature (the only AA eShop in Australia)
  • co-ordinating and running the AA helpline
  • notifying members of meeting changes
  • collating and advertising events
  • being a drop-in centre
  • being an avenue for service, which helps us stay sober
  • answering daily calls from groups wanting advice
  • providing information to outside parties
  • co-ordinating the various service bodies (eg PI/CPC, Schools, Website etc)

How you can help keep the CSO open

– Personal on-going donations (eg automatic $5/week direct deposit)
– Encourage your group to donate to the CSO according to the 60:30:10 plan
– Choosing to do a one-off 100% to CSO instead of the 60:30:10

These can all be done on the donations page at the csobrisbane.org website.

PLEASE spread the word and share this information in your groups.
